The idea /
Nothing gets edited. Things get added.
The contract you signed is never touched — not by your team, not by us. Every change since then is its own small agreement, signed by both sides, sitting on top.
Add them all up and you get what your contract says today. We do that sum fresh every single time you open it, so it can never quietly drift out of date.

What works today /
The parts that must never be wrong are finished.
The original cannot be modified. The working contract is recomputed rather than stored. No deed reaches signature unless it matches the accepted wording word for word. Those are enforced in the data layer, not in the interface — and you can check every one of them on your own contract.

The ones people actually ask.
Do I have to stop using the software I already have?
No. We don't write contracts or chase people for signatures — plenty of tools already do that well. We pick up after the contract is signed, which is the bit nobody covers. Keep what you've got.
What stops someone editing the original by mistake?
There is simply no button for it. Not for you, not for your admin, not for us. The signed contract is read-only in the deepest sense — the software has no way to change it. Everything new goes on top.
How do I know the summary is right?
We don't save a summary and hope it stays accurate. Every time you open a contract we add it up again from scratch — original plus every signed change — and check the answer against what we showed you last time. If those two ever disagree, you see a warning and we get paged.
Where is my data kept?
On Google Cloud, with documents and recordings in object storage and contract data in a managed database. Configurable residency is not built yet — if a specific region is a requirement for you, tell us before you start, because today we can't promise it. Support conversations run through Intercom and may sit in the US or Australia; we say so in the app before you start one. We'll tell you exactly who else touches your data and where they are.
Do you really record our calls?
Only calls you start in ChangeSteward, and everyone can see it is recording. Recording begins about half a minute after the call opens — the recorder takes a moment to attach, and the app tells you when it is running. The transcript is produced after the call, along with what was settled, which arrives as proposed red-lines you accept or reject like any other. Nothing from a call moves the contract on its own. You can delete recordings later.
Can the other side see our risk score?
Each side sees its own by default. You can withhold the analysis from the other party if you'd rather. We will tell them it has been withheld, and who did it — we're not going to help you do that quietly.
How do you know the deed says what we agreed?
Because we check it, mechanically, before it can go anywhere. Every change you accept is stored as exact replacement wording. When the deed is drafted, each of those passages is compared against the drafted document at a 0.98 similarity threshold — and if any one of them fails, the deed cannot be sent for signature at all. Not a warning you can click past: the route refuses. It is the one claim on this page you can verify yourself, on your own contract, in about a minute.
Is this legal advice?
No, and we say so plainly in our terms. We're software. We'll draft, flag and score things to save you time, but a qualified lawyer should look at anything before you sign it.
